We’re here!
Our team met at NHC at 3:40am (Yes, AM!) to head to the airport. After
two delightfully uneventful flights (and a delicious final U.S. meal
at Chick-fil-A in Dallas Airport’s Terminal D), we safely arrived in
Guatemala City around 2:30pm. All our baggage arrived, and we cleared
customs without even having a single bag unzipped.
The trek from the airport to the Oasis ended up taking about three
hours thanks to some rush hour traffic and construction, but we made
it in time to see the beautiful mountain views just before the sun
began to set. After unloading, the team had some time to get settled
before a 7pm dinner. (Past team members: Give us your best guess in
the comments section as to what we ate for dinner!)
Thanks so much for your prayers for us and for this ministry this
week. We’re all so grateful to be here and excited for both what God
will teach us and how He’ll use us. Please also be praying for our
families back home - My older son Caleb already asked, “Are you coming
home tomorrow, Daddy?!” In order for each of us to be here, there’s
sacrifices from many of our loved ones back home.
Looking forward to a great week of ministry!
